Andy Lloyd made his first visit to the Society of February 2nd, and showed the excellent turnout of members his take on portraits in acrylics. He admitted this was his very first ever demonstration to a group - we would not have noticed! His relaxed and informative style appealed to almost all our members, and we shall certainly ask him to come again!

Tewkesbury Art Society is a very friendly group of over 50 members of all abilities, from absolute beginners to near professionals, who all try to help each other whenever possible. We meet on alternate Tuesdays in Tewkesbury Methodist Hall, (behind the Methodist Church at The Cross) from 10.00 (for 10.30) to 1.00pm.
During the winter months we normally have demonstrations or workshops led by professional artists which are free of charge to members of the Society. (There is a nominal £3 charge for guests & visitors).
During the summer months we organise outside painting at various venues, including member's gardens, National Trust, and other properties. We find painting outside as a member of a group a great way to gain confidence. We also have occasional trips to Exhibitions and places of interest.
The annual membership fee is only £20. Members also receive discounts at local Art Shops on production of their membership card.
We hold a free annual exhibition each year in the Methodist Hall (The 2010 event will run from July 24th - 31st - not as advertised in the printed programme), and members receive a newsletter twice a year.
